Monozukuri Japan, the Knowledge, Skill and Craftsmanship that Support Progress

This exhibit highlights unique technologies from all over Japan that make the most of the knowledge, skill and craftsmanship that holds new potential, with a focus on crucial core technologies across a variety of fields. These exhibits present an opportunity to foster cross-industry interchanges that will lead to the creation of new technologies.

Famous Cars that Crowned their Own Era: The Knowledge, Skill and Craftsmanship that Supported Japanese Motorization

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, we are exhibiting the cars that crowned the early to development periods of Japanese motorization and offering an opportunity to learn about the knowledge, skill and craftsmanship of the past. (Eight vehicles from the 1950s to the 1970s are exhibited.)

Development engineers from an automaker will talk about their vision from the planning to the launch stages, as well as the meticulous attention to monozukuri that unified knowledge, skill and craftsmanship and provided the breakthrough that led to the commercial product.
